1. Introduction

Welcome to FermeSovve Gas. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the FermeSovve Gas website (fermesovve.com) and the services offered by FermeSovve Gas ("Services").

By accessing our website or using our Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you disagree with any part of these Terms, you may not access the website or use our Services.

2. Services Description

FermeSovve Gas provides gas installation, maintenance, repair, and safety services for residential and commercial customers throughout Ireland. Our specific services include, but are not limited to:

  • Gas boiler installation, servicing, and repair
  • Gas fire installation and maintenance
  • Commercial gas solutions
  • Gas safety inspections and certification
  • Emergency gas repairs
  • Renewable gas solutions

All services are provided by qualified professionals who are registered with the Register of Gas Installers of Ireland (RGII) or other appropriate regulatory bodies.

3. Appointments and Service Bookings

3.1 Booking Process

You may book our Services through the website, by telephone, or by email. When booking a service, you agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information about yourself and your property as requested.

3.2 Confirmation

After booking, you will receive a confirmation of your appointment via email or telephone. This confirmation will include the date, approximate time window, service details, and estimated price (where applicable).

3.3 Cancellations and Rescheduling

If you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment, please notify us at least 24 hours in advance. For cancellations with less than 24 hours' notice, we reserve the right to charge a cancellation fee of €50 or 50% of the quoted service fee, whichever is lower.

If we need to cancel or reschedule your appointment due to unforeseen circumstances, we will contact you as soon as possible to arrange an alternative date and time.

4. Pricing and Payment

4.1 Pricing

Prices for our Services are as quoted on our website, during telephone consultations, or in written quotations. All prices are in Euro (€) and include Value Added Tax (VAT) at the current rate, unless otherwise stated.

For complex jobs, we may need to conduct an on-site assessment before providing a final quotation. Any quotation provided is valid for 30 days from the date of issue, unless otherwise stated.

4.2 Payment Methods

We accept the following payment methods:

  • Credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard)
  • Electronic bank transfers
  • Cash (for in-person services only)

4.3 Invoicing and Payment Terms

For standard services, payment is due upon completion of the work. For larger projects, we may require a deposit before commencing work, with the balance due upon completion.

Invoices must be paid within 14 days of the invoice date, unless otherwise agreed in writing. Late payments may incur interest charges at the rate of 8% per annum above the European Central Bank base rate.

5. Warranties and Guarantees

5.1 Workmanship Guarantee

We guarantee our workmanship for a period of 12 months from the date of completion. If any issues arise due to faulty workmanship within this period, we will rectify the problem at no additional cost to you.

5.2 Manufacturer Warranties

Products and parts installed by us are covered by the manufacturer's warranty. The terms and duration of these warranties vary by product. We will provide you with all relevant warranty documentation upon completion of the work.

5.3 Exclusions

Our guarantees and warranties do not cover:

  • Damage caused by misuse, neglect, or abnormal operating conditions
  • Work or adjustments performed by third parties
  • Normal wear and tear
  • Issues arising from your failure to follow our advice or instructions
  • Pre-existing conditions not related to our work

6. Customer Responsibilities

6.1 Access to Property

You are responsible for ensuring that our engineers have safe and unobstructed access to your property and the relevant gas appliances or systems. If access is not possible at the scheduled time, we reserve the right to charge a call-out fee.

6.2 Safety and Compliance

You agree to inform us of any known hazards, defects, or special conditions at your property that may affect our work. You also agree to comply with any safety recommendations or instructions provided by our engineers.

6.3 Property Preparation

Before our visit, please ensure that the work area is clear of valuables, furniture, and other items that might obstruct or be damaged during the service. We cannot accept responsibility for damage to items that have not been properly protected or moved.

7. Liability and Limitations

7.1 Professional Indemnity

We maintain appropriate professional indemnity insurance to cover our liability for any negligent acts or omissions in the provision of our Services.

7.2 Limitation of Liability

Our liability for any direct loss or damage arising from our Services is limited to the total amount paid by you for those Services. We will not be liable for any indirect, consequential, or special losses, including but not limited to loss of profit, loss of business, or loss of reputation.

7.3 Force Majeure

We will not be liable for any delay or failure to perform our obligations if such delay or failure results from events or circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, pandemics, civil unrest, or supply chain disruptions.

8. Website Use

8.1 Acceptable Use

You agree to use our website only for lawful purposes and in a way that does not infringe the rights of, restrict, or inhibit anyone else's use and enjoyment of the website. Prohibited behavior includes harassing or causing distress to other users, transmitting obscene or offensive content, or disrupting the normal flow of dialogue within our website.

13. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable, such provision shall be struck out and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

14. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and any other policies referenced herein, constitute the entire agreement between you and FermeSovve Gas regarding your use of our website and Services, superseding any prior agreements.
